Most of our work is for clients in business, or referred from Solicitors, Accountants and our existing satisfied clients.

We offer independent and impartial advice to both private clients (tax efficient savings and investments, inheritance tax planning, retirement planning, income and life protection and mortgages) and to businesses (employee benefit packages, group self invested pensions and stakeholder.)

We are a small family firm with experienced and valued admin staff supporting our two advisers, Phil Castle and Sue Elliott.

Phil has been in client related financial services for 22 years and has been an Independent Adviser for over a decade now. Phil provides advice to Private clients on Pensions, Protection, Investments and Mortgages whilst also assisting business clients and their staff.

Sue Elliott has worked in client related financial services for 33 years, the last 13 as an investment adviser for a main clearing bank. She has a wealth of experience in the investment market as well as issues surrounding assets and their implications for inheritance tax, now working closely with solicitors. Unlike Phil, she does not currently advise on mortgages. Our office works as a team so the most suited indivudal handles whichever area a client needs information or advice with, whoever your normal contact might be.

Working as an independent adviser means we can be impartial with our advice as we are not tied to one company’s products.

We provide advice and help following a financial review which can take place using the most convenient methods and time. We like to meet face to face at least once, but after the first meeting, it's surprising what can be achieved with technology such as webcams and email from then onwards.

Usually a review will start with a very broad discussion of your concerns and aspirations, before moving on to a thorough financial review. An initial factfinding excercise is undertaken where we gather the information needed and we all have the opportunity to make sure we want to work together to achieve your aims. Following this meeting we will take time to consider your situation, needs and priorities before making recommendations. We follow this up with a full discussion during which we'll explain our recommendations and agree affordable priorities to assist you in acheiving your objectives.

Our charges can be structured in several ways. Some of our clients engage our services using a service plan (a year at a time), some prefer a fixed fee, whilst others are more comfortable with commission. Whatever we agree will result in our fully disclosing our fees in an open and transparent manner.

We take a long term view and build up relationships over many years.

We have links with local solicitors and accountants so that you can obtain help and advice from the right professional.
